National PTA School of Excellence
National PTA School of Excellence is a recognition program that supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students. As a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement.
KS PTA Awarded Bayer STEM Grant
National PTA and the Bayer USA Foundation have awarded Kansas PTA with a $4,000 grant to engage families in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education.
National Standards for Family-School Partnerships – focusing on Standard #6
The sixth National PTA Standard for Family-School Partnerships is Collaborating With Community. Many schools are opening their doors to their communities, becoming one-stop resource centers for families and other residents in an effort to strengthen the school and build a more family-friendly community. Partnerships that connect a school with local businesses, social services, youth organizations and other groups can turn a neighborhood into a thriving place to live, work and raise a family.
New Resource for Parents on Student Data Privacy
National PTA has collaborated with the Future of Privacy Forum and ConnectSafely to develop a digital guide to help parents understand the laws that protect student data as well as students’ and parents’ rights under the laws.

New Resource for Parents on 21st Century Learning and Citizenship
P21 has created a free digital toolkit to help parents support their learners in becoming 21st century leaders and citizens.
The three-part toolkit was developed with National PTA and provides an overview of 21st century learning and how citizenship has changed in a digitally and globally connected world.

TeenLife Offers Parent Resources
TeenLife.com is a national search engine for teen enrichment opportunities. Parents and educators can find summer and gap programs and community service opportunities for students in grades 6-12.
PTA leaders are invited to join TeenLife and learn how to help parents find age-appropriate enrichment opportunities as their children transition to middle/high school.
